The decontamination facility manager will be responsible for managing the on-site personal decontamination facility at the SLDA site. The decontamination facility contains the donning and doffing areas approximately 80 personnel will transit through into and out of the site exclusion zones at least two times per day. The decontamination facility also contains the on-site laundry facility, industrial hygiene and radiological equipment calibration areas, showers, locker rooms and personnel break area.

The decontamination facility manager will be responsible for developing the process necessary to maintain the facility in a ready state throughout the workday. This will include ensuring adequate personal protective equipment supplies and resources are available, that powered air purifying respirators are maintained, and properly cleared for re-use and that the facility is maintained in a sanitary and orderly fashion.

The decontamination facility manager will work with vendors and suppliers as necessary to procure equipment, supplies and resources as needed. This will include developing procurement requisitions, tracking supplies and inventory, ensuring proper items are received and sufficient supplies are made available for use by site personnel on a day-to-day basis.

The decontamination facility manager will supervise a group of approximately 4 decontamination support personnel and one decontamination technician.

The decontamination facility manager will assist in the development of procedures needed to properly maintain the decontamination facility and operations.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field, e.g., safety, engineering, environmental science, logistics, organizational management.

Minimum of two years supervisory experience.

Minimum of five years experience in development, management, and implementation of operational / operational support programs.

Strong organizational skills capable of developing and using a variety of tracking resources such as databases, and spreadsheets.

Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of personnel including technical experts, craft labor, and management personnel.
