Google Vendor Operations Manager, Google Cloud in Taguig, Philippines

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in management consulting, operations consulting, business development, or similar roles.

  • Experience in global vendor operations management, program and project management, shared services or global business services.

  • Experience in project management, change management, and executing operational initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Google Cloud.

  • Experience collaborating with executive stakeholders across a large, global organization.

  • Experience with spreadsheet software and SQL.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive management, site leadership, cross-functional teams, and vendor representatives across various levels.

  • Ability to influence and drive change at all levels within an organization.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication, problem-solving, project management, operational, and investigative skills.

The Google Cloud Vendor Management Organization (VMO) has responsibility for all extended workforce needs across Google Cloud, including vendor partner selection, governance and operations, and delivery management. We are a team that is focused on partnering with the businesses we support to achieve issue resolution and value creation to help set up cloud for sustainable growth.

This role supports the North America region. Working hours will be on a night shift, with some flexibility possible depending on team needs.

  • Oversee a large vendor network distributed across different suppliers and sites. Lead regular business reviews ensuring sites are meeting/exceeding goals.

  • Manage relationships with the vendor service providers, partner with suppliers, and internal Google Cloud teams to ensure high-quality output and customer outcomes.

  • Identify operational gaps using a data-driven approach and develop innovative solutions to address these in collaboration with vendor sites and business stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional/cross-regional stakeholders to overcome operational issues.

  • Act as the escalation point for internal and external escalations regarding performance and/or supplier relationships.

  • Understand processes impacting the operations (e.g., finances, capacity, workflows, etc.) and support the relevant stakeholders driving these efforts.
