The Vice Presidents Clinical and Translational (VPCAT) Research Scholars Program, a unique early-stage faculty career and research mentoring program at the University of Utah, offers intensive mentorship, resources, and support to faculty engaged in clinical and translational research in transitioning to academic success. Founded on VPCATs holistic mentoring framework, the Matrix Mentoring Model, accepted faculty scholars receive a 2-year experience that includes training in scientific career development, grant writing and management, and leadership designed to create empowered principal investigators.We are seeking a proactive program coordinator to join our team. Strong written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to coordinate, implement, and track complex program and activities are necessary skills. The coordinator will be the main program contact, and is responsible for coordinating program activities and ensuring program goals are met. The Collaborating with departments, schools, and colleges, the Coordinator plays a key role in development and advancement of the program.Primary responsibilities include curriculum organization, execution, and evaluation; overseeing day-to-day activities involved with scholar and program communications, scheduling, and program database maintenance; and; ensuring program goals and objectives are met in accordance with established criteria. The Coordinator will be a resource to all program participants and support all program activities. The Coordinator must be able to work independently and actively contribute to the diversity of viewpoints, experience, and expertise of its program members. VPCAT highly values strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills that will ensure the prioritization of work objectives and goals for multiple deadlines, processes, and activities.
