PPA Senior Regional Service Manager, EMEA (Remote)

How will you make an impact?

The Senior Regional Services Manager will lead a team responsible for delivering operational excellence and organic revenue growth across the Production Process & Analytics (PPA) portfolio for Thermo Fisher Scientific in the EMEA region. The successful candidate will have a science or business education and experience with driving process and organizational change. You will have strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills and the ability to collaborate across various multifunctional teams. We are looking for a positive, upbeat professional to build a strong organization to accelerate growth into new markets.

This role will report directly to the Global Service Director of the PPA business unit.

Your main functions and responsibilities:

  • Lead service team to achieve customer and operational excellence by delivering world-class service, leading key operational service metrics, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Drive achievement of service revenue growth and profitability goals by focusing on market opportunities, key accounts, efficiency, and pricing; ensure forecast accuracy.

  • Drive continuous organizational improvement to achieve better customer experience as well as a higher efficiency and effectiveness of the field service team.

  • Partner with the Technical support group to increase level of competence in the team and minimize number and duration of escalations

  • Develop annual operating budgets and revenue forecasts.

  • Encourage a team environment with open communication and active participation

  • Promote a culture of growth and development centered on optimizing customer experience

  • Partner with equipment sales and services sales in forming service strategies and relationships with key accounts, identifying new service business opportunities, and developing and promoting solutions across the entire portfolio of Thermo Fisher offerings.

  • Work closely with R&D, Technical Support, Marketing and Sales on new product and service introductions and lifecycle management.

  • Other duties as well as possible extension of business responsibilities as required

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor degree’s degree, preferable in business or science/engineering

  • Must have 3 years management experience

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Excellent customer communication skills, working across all levels, functions and regions.

  • Ability to influence at all levels within the organization and lead in an highly matrixed, multi-culture environment

  • Solid understanding of forecasting, budgeting, service cost drivers, and basic accounting principles or related experience.

  • Experience in organizational change principles and methodologies

  • Demonstration of successful conflict resolution, self and social awareness

  • This position requires approximately 30% travel

  • High level negotiating and project management skills preferred
