The Loop App Experiences team mission is to build a collaborative platform that enables a new class of applications and experiences on top of Fluid Framework. One of these applications we are building is Microsoft Loop, a new app that combines a powerful and flexible canvas with portable components that move freely and stay in sync across applications. We are currently looking for a customer-obsessed Principal Software Engineering Manager to lead the MILES (Mobile Integrated Loop Experiences Squad) team. This team owns Fluid Mobile Framework (FMF) to further support the growth of Loop ecosystem on both iOS and Android platforms. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years experience leading, designing, and implementing high quality software.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

  • OR related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,

  • OR Python

  • 9+ years of professional software engineering experience, shipping customer-facing code. 

  • 9+ years of experience with mobile client software engineering.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
