Job Summary:

Serves as administrative assistant to the Director and faculty in the School of Teacher Education and Leadership and is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the office: providing support to faculty, staff and students and supervising student workers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and equipment.

  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.

  • Experience providing administrative and/or programmatic support.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet research.

  • Experience working with purchasing and budget process.

  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate well with a variety of people.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a higher education or K-12 setting.

  • Knowledge of Banner and eVA computer applications.

  • Knowledge of grant processes.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative without supervision.
