Master Builders Solutions is a global provider of chemical solutions for the construction industry. With a strong presence in the Benelux region, we are seeking a (Senior) Business Controller to support our financial operations in the Benelux.

About the Role

As the (Senior) Business Controller, you will be responsible for driving financial performance and business growth in the Benelux region. You will work closely with the local management team to provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and control the financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

  • Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement, cost optimization, and revenue growth

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic initiatives, business cases, and investment decisions

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiency

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations

  • Support the preparation of financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders

  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required

  • Ensures the organization and coordination of the administrative tasks of the company.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (Master's degree preferred)

  • Previous experience (2-5 years) as a Business Controller or similar role

  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills

  • Proficient in financial planning and budgeting

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently

  • Fluent in Dutch and English (both written and spoken)

  • Experience in the construction or chemical industry is a plus

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel

  • Advanced knowledge in IFRS

  • Advanced knowledge in Belgian and Dutch tax, currency and trade legislation

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP)
