Description and Requirements

The Product Manager of Platform Security will play a pivotal role in shaping the below-OS security landscape for PCs and smart devices within the Commercial (Enterprise) business at Lenovo. Leveraging your expertise in BIOS, firmware (FW), and hardware security, you will lead efforts to continue to fortify our products against emerging threats and vulnerabilities. This role demands a deep understanding of business, market dynamics, and customer requirements, along with the ability to articulate use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and market research findings with precision and clarity. As a subject-matter expert in hardware security, you will collaborate closely with R&D and development teams in a matrixed structure to translate customer, market, and industry requirements into actionable strategies, roadmaps, requirements, and initiatives.

Furthermore, this role will drive below-OS security innovation to drive new areas of business, capabilities, offerings and solutions focused on management, orchestration, and security. You will be a sought-after thought-leader by our development teams, hardware product teams and our sales organisation. A strong customer-facing presence would be highly beneficial for the success of this role.

Innovation around solutions and marketable offerings will be part of your role and you will work closely with the team to rapidly bring-to-market new capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in product management, engineering, and development focused on hardware platform

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of BIOS, FW and PC hardware (4+ years)

  • Well-versed in NIST hardware requirements and standards

  • Well-versed in TCG

  • Ability to work closely with a globally dispersed development team

  • Ability to travel, internationally as required

  • Must have the ability to develop and document product roadmaps, business justifications, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria and requirements

  • Must have the ability to influence stakeholders (e.g. engineering, product teams, etc.)

This position will be based in our North America Headquarters in Raleigh, NC. Our office has transitioned to a hybrid work environment supporting 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
