We are looking for a Proposal and Bid Manager with a focus on Scada/protection/electrical automation systems, committed to the preparation and submission of proposals of Substation Automation System and Products, to be hired with a permanent contract in Milan within the Electrification and Automation Business Unit area.

Your Challenge

As a Proposal and Bid Manager your mission will be to responsible for working on a proposal team as a contributing member, maintaining and upgrading proposal templates, format, standard content, and related pricing tools to support product and service enhancements over time.

Some of the main activities will be:

  • Bid and Proposal activities related to customer’s requests for quotation (technical and economical content)

  • Prepare final proposal for submittal to customer, including any documentation such as technical data sheets, bids forms, commercial forms, legal forms, bid bonds, etc.

  • Standardization of proven concept and solutions to replicate them as function packages

  • Coordinate proposal submittal with sales team. Track bid results and participate in negotiations and bid modifications as necessary. Collaborate with colleagues of Business Unit to share market data updates

  • Register bid results in Offers & Orders database. Compile statistics on bid performance, hit rate and market penetration. Prepare reports on proposals as required.

  • Receive orders from customers and prepare order entry information to transfer to project management and contract administration team. Participate in internal and/or external kickoff meetings as required to facilitate the smooth transfer of orders.

  • Conform to the commercial policies of Siemens Electrification and Automation, including cost/price determination, profit requirements, understanding cash flow, understanding contractual terms and conditions, as they relate to Siemens’ policy, as well as LoA and Compliance requirements

To be a perfect fit for this role, you would already have:

  • Proven experience in technical department within substation automation, with a products’ portfolio made of Control Scada System, Protections and RTU devices and their standard applications in Electrical Field.

  • Bachelor's - Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Automation or Technical High School Diploma

  • Proven experience in Proposal preparation

  • Passion to never-stop growing

  • Respect and appreciation of each person’s uniqueness, willingness to co create and share knowledge

  • Proficiency in English and Italian

  • Eligibility to work in Italy
