  • Insight FS* is headquartered in Jefferson, Wisconsin with 23 branches across the state and upper peninsula of Michigan. Insight FS has 430+ employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 50,000 customers. The cooperative does business in agronomy, agri-finance, precision agriculture, nutrient management, energy, feed, grain, and turf. Insight FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada. * PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT* Performs operational duties such as delivery, inventory control, housekeeping, repairs and customer service at assigned location. * ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* Manage inventory, protect from damage and ensure proper paperwork documenting movement in and__ out of warehouse. Complete monthly physical inventory and weekly spot checks; communicates product to be ordered. Monitor inventory for current seasonal and daily needs. Understands grain quality and grain conditioning. Performs proper grain grading and blending practices. Inspects handling equipment and grain inventory at varying heights using ladders. Maintain service/repair records for all equipment including vehicles. Inform Location Manager of need for major building and equipment repairs and recommend annual fixed asset purchases. Responsible for the housekeeping of warehouse(s) and surrounding grounds at assigned location(s). Keep vehicles and equipment clean, parked neatly and security checked daily. Ensure that employees follow all safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment. Report any unsafe equipment or procedure to the supervisor. Inspect and record findings weekly for petroleum, chemical and liquid fertilizer tanks and dikes. Remove rainwater or spilled product from load pads and dike areas and dispose of as directed. Responsible for delivery of products. Assist in loading bulk pesticides, container products and Anhydrous Ammonia tanks for pickup or delivery. Retrieve product from other suppliers or company locations. Delivers product to customers and rotates according to date. Report any possible product problems at customer locations and provide outstanding customer service. Maintain product handling equipment and complete needed repairs. * OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS* May be required to do one or more of the following: Maintain unattended fuel sites Keep spill box and fuel lines in floor runs at bulk petroleum loading plant clean of debris and fuel spilled. Prepare empty oil drums for return. Maintain grain system and train other employees in the maintenance and operation of system if present at location. Maintain quality control of grain. Learn the operation of all equipment and vehicles at the location and be available to help in times of peak demand. Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. * REQUIREMENTS* Normally requires high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 1-2 years or more of agriculture or warehouse related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of inventory control and organization skills. Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification, Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat & Tanker endorsement, Mixer Loader Pesticide Certified & License. As well as maintain a satisfactory driving record. Ability to lift at least 60 pounds frequently. Frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions and noisy conditions. May occasionally be exposed to dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures. May occasionally be required to work at varying heights. Must be able to travel independently and overnight. Demonstrated essential abilities business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
