Siemens AG is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as the ‘Head of Strategic IoT Initiatives & Architecture’ within the Information Technology department. This position is part of the ‘IoT and Platforms Services’ unit, and it offers an exciting opportunity to drive the development and implementation of strategic IoT initiatives and architectures for Siemens AG. You will be driving IoT initiatives to transform the global Siemens factory ecosystem of 120+ factories and >1000 Siemens location across the globe. You will initialize initiatives (incubations, projects and programs) and be responsible for the execution of initiatives to create sustainable impact for Siemens. You will influence the evolution of the Siemens product portfolio, implement scalable use cases and refence implementations to demonstrate the power of Siemens offerings, realize co-creation and customer-zero projects and optimize the IT & OT ecosystem of Siemens and within Siemens.

What part will you play?

  • Lead an interdisciplinary team of experts in manufacturing, buildings, and architectures

  • Develop the IT business in the domains of manufacturing and buildings to establish new impactful initiatives and new IT services

  • Manage communities and meetings to ensure alignment and decision-making within the IT community and with representatives from manufacturing, buildings, and cybersecurity

  • Create decision documents for new initiatives, including target visions, business cases, and implementation approaches

  • Drive the further development of the Factory Digitalization Initiative to digitize Siemens AG's factory landscape

  • Align and report to stakeholders, including CxO level, on progress and impact

  • Ensure the economic success of the unit

What you need to make real what matters.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A university degree in IT, engineering, or business management (a combination is preferred)

  • Demonstrated track record of generating impact through project or line management

  • Domain knowledge in manufacturing or buildings

  • Knowledge of Architecture Management

  • Knowledge of IoT and/or IT&OT

  • Strong global and cross-business network within Siemens AG

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams

  • Passion for IT/OT convergence and understanding of requirements and dependencies

  • Systemic problem-solving skills and the ability to connect the dots

  • Strong team player with excellent people skills and adaptability to connect quickly with people

  • Proficiency in English; German language skills would be an advantage
