Description THIS IS A 2nd SHIFT POSITION. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - GENERAL: Performs all required Weld Tear-Down inspections for weld & assembly at defined intervals. Documents all results on the inspection check sheet and SPC data entry where required Communicates with production area managers, team leaders and production team members of Weld Tear-Down inspection test status results and may initiate nonconforming product reaction activities when product is found to be defective. Initiates preventive actions to prevent potential nonconformity from data results indicating any trend which may compromise the quality of product, process, and/or quality systems. Performs other essential functions related to WTD as assigned, inclusive of: LECO, the preparation of sample boards, and providing data for WTD / LECO charts. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - SPECIFIC: Perform all required weld tear-down requirements utilizing appropriate tools. (Plasma cutter, vice, pliers, torque wrench, push-out tester, thread gages, calipers, micrometers, etc.) Perform the evaluation of welds per required frequency to verify thickness and degree of fracture Perform weld nut push out to determine > specified minimum strength Determine welds / nugget acceptance criteria per part inspection check sheet requirement Document all results on the applicable work order inspection check sheet and SPC data entry where required ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - SPECIFIC: DOCUMENT & PROCESS CONTROL Awareness, working knowledge and compliance to the following procedures, work instructions, controlled postings and other job-specific information: Push-Out Destructive Testing Work Instruction Rejected Material & Product Containment Work Instructions Product Identification & Traceability Work Instructions Visual SPC Operation Work Instruction Weld Tear-Down Process Flow Chart / Weld Tear-Down Tool Box Training Beyond Minimum Customer Requirements Controlled Posting (Ford Customer Specifics) The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
