Lost Paddle Rafting River Guide in Canon City, Colorado

Lost Paddle Rafting is hiring full-time & part-time experienced river guides for the 2024 rafting season. Guides must have completed an on-river training course.

Rafting trips will be guided on the Arkansas river in Ca on City, Colorado. The 2 sections guided will be the Bighorn Sheep Canyon and the Royal Gorge. Training runs will be provided by the employer to learn the sections of the Arkansas river being guided. New hires are required to complete a successful check-ride with a guide instructor to be certified to raft commercial trips on the Arkansas river.

River guides must conduct high-quality, safe and fun river trips for both half day, full day and multi-day trips on the Arkansas River. Guides must treat guests and fellow employees with courtesy and respect. Guides must contribute to a positive supportive team atmosphere. Guides must have knowledge of reading water, providing safety talks, rigging and derigging rafts, loading equipment and fitting customers with proper gear.

Pay ranges between $60 to $80 per half day trips depending on experience.
