Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Part time Logistic Specialist to join our team in the Lakehurst, NJ area. This is a hybrid position working part of the week at the customer site and part of the week remotely. The Logistics Specialist provides logistics support activities and expertise within the Aircraft launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Department specific to developing, managing, and updating Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) / Allowance Equipment Lists (AELs).

This is a hybrid position. The candidate filling this position will be required on site a minimum of 3 days a week and work remotely 2 days a week.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Manage and update as necessary APLs, Coordinated Shipboard Allowance Lists (COSALs), and Configuration Data Management Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) processes for Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) to ensure the ship’s configuration for these systems is kept up to date to ensure the ships are authorized to carry the necessary spares onboard in the correct quantities.

  • Provide support and assistance to Configuration Management with updating of APLs as directed by the Division.

  • Participate in meetings

  • Provide EMALS and AAG APL efforts associated with aligning System Level APL with Individual APLs and performing EMALS and AAG APL updates to support Ford Class Carrier COSAL maintenance.

  • Plan, coordinate and develop APLs/AELs

  • Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to apply to APL development / update.

  • Work with DoD provisioning and Configuration Management processes and associated databases.

  • Coordinate the loading of Logistics Data into Configuration Data Manager Database – Open Architecture (CDMD-OA).

  • Review logistics program information for identification of potential impact to APLs.

  • Apply standard logistics policies and procedures to the developing APLs/AELs.

  • Resolve program schedules or policy requirements conflicts regarding APLs,

  • Manage / optimize APL workload and coordinate with team member(s) to meet schedule.

  • Provide work request status and resolve issues to complete the work requests.

  • Participate in development of annual workload requirements with supervisor and DAPMLs.

  • Communicate with Government team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelors degree; 8 years of relevant logistics support for entire life cycle related to DoD systems may be substituted for the degree requirement

  • A minimum of three (3) years of logistics support for entire life cycle related to DoD systems

  • Must be willing to travel (a maximum number of two trips per year)

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • This position requires a current/active U.S. government Secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
