RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deluxe Merchant Services is growing. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a company that is seeking innovators to help us take our technology to new heights. As a Software Developer you will define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements.

  • Write, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications

  • Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle

  • Collaborate with developers, programmers, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications

  • Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems

  • Develop and maintain business-critical applications and reports

  • Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications

  • Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering and 2 years of software development experience; OR HS/GED and 6 years relevant experience

  • Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, including C#, Transact SQL, .netcore

  • Understanding of Internet Information Services (IIS), application deployment methodologies, source control & versioning (TFS)

  • Understanding of Change Control methodologies

  • Solid understanding of coding methods and best practices.

  • Extensive relational database and operating systems experience

  • Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies, including MS .Net and ASP

  • Prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues

  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Desired but not required)

  • Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering AND 2 years of software development experience

  • Experience with mobile applications

  • Prior Merchant Services or Payments experience

  • Experience in finance
